Finance Club, IIT Madras, was started to solve the problem of awareness, accessibility and quality of knowledge in the field of finance and investments for the undergraduate students of IIT Madras. The 3 guiding principles for the club is –

• To leverage the IIT Madras Alumni contributing in the field of finance
• To make the learnings more practical
• To promote peer to peer learning

Tapping into the latent demand, the finance club started with a bang in the year of 2014, when 4 pre-final year students decided to solve the problem by bringing like-minded students together on a platform. The club activities, year after year, have led to a flywheel effect. Every year the club has seen more members enrolling for the club and the club has been successfully working to deliver results along the lines of the 3 guiding principles.
